Amy Burns

Director and Principal Advisor

PIQ Advisory draws on the expertise of its Director and Principal Advisor, Amy Burns, who brings more than 14 years of specialised experience delivering procurement and probity advisory services to public and private sector organisations in Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Raised in Darwin, Amy has deep personal ties to the Top End and began her procurement career there more than a decade ago. This background provides PIQ Advisory with genuine insight into how procurement, probity and governance operate within small, high-scrutiny jurisdictions.

Amy is a senior procurement and probity practitioner with formal qualifications including a Bachelor of Laws, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (admitted to the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory in 2012), and a Diploma of Government Procurement and Contracting.

Through this experience, Amy has developed a strong understanding of government probity requirements, procurement processes, risk management, confidentiality and independence.

Amy has held senior leadership roles across government, including Director Commercial Services at the former Department of Corporate and Information Services (NT), and Director ICT Category at the Department of Education (Qld).
